Rocky Bluff Library Expansion - LI01776 - Manatee County

This project is included in the Manatee County's fiscal years 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of January 3, 2024, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been established; however, funding is allotted to fiscal year 2025. A detailed scope has not yet been released. One of three Library projects in the Infrastructure Sales Tax (IST), this request is to expand the facility up to 8,000 square feet to the north of the teen and children's area. The expansion is needed to accommodate tremendous growth in the north part of the county. Project elements included; replacement heating, ventilation (Cafe area) and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, a friend's meeting room, youth STEAM lab, exterior windows and doors to allow natural light to enter the building and enhancements to the technology area. The project uses both Library Impact Fees and IST funds *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
