Wolcott 8-Bay VSF and Sand Shed

The new VSF shall be a 9,000 square foot pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) with a standing seam metal roof. This VSF will contain eight 20’-0” x 50’-0” bays used to store CDOT plow trucks, two of which will be used as wash bays and have waterproofed finishes and fixtures, as well as two single story administration areas adjacent to the vehicle bays. The flooring shall be concrete slab-on-grade with a 20-foot concrete apron at the overhead doors. This building configuration will not be CDOT’s prototypical building due to site constraints, and four of the vehicle bays will be drive-through. The project will also include a new 4,000 square foot PEMB Sand Shed measuring 50’-0” x 80’-0” with a 60-foot concrete apron at the overhead door side. The Sand Shed will follow CDOT’s prototypical design of 10 foot cast in place concrete base with metal building above the concrete.
