Description

An estimated 100 LF of a hill/slope adjacent to a local public road has failed due to heavy rains, storm water run-off and excess surface drainage. The slope is estimated at 30 feet in height and abuts the rear of several single-family homes. The subject area contains various types of groundcover, trees and other plantings that help stabilize the slope, however some plantings are dead and require removal. Adjacent to the hill is a 2-lane roadway, moderately travelled, which is also adjacent to nearby State Highway, MD-210. The soil on the slope consists of a mixture of sandy silt, clay and gravel.
