Description

90th Street Reconstruction The work includes furnishing of all materials and equipment and performance of the following work, per the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents (PS & CD): The Base Bid work for the above contract includes realignment and expansion of the existing 90th Street (from Braun Road to CTH KR). This work includes construction of the new typical section - consisting of the complete roadway with curb and gutter, a new multi-use asphalt path, new sidewalk, grading, ditching, and bioswale storm water facilities. The project includes new storm sewer and new watermain utilities. The project includes the removal of an existing cross culvert and installation of a new CON/SPAN structure over the Lamparek Creek. Major work items include removals, grading, erosion control, excavation common, RCP storm sewer pipe, PVC watermain & appurtenances, CON/SPAN structure and installation, dense aggregate base, engineered soil, curb and gutter, sidewalk, asphalt pavement, pavement marking, and restoration. Bids shall be submitted on the on-line bid form provided and all blanks must be filled in for the bid to be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days from the date of the bid opening. Failure to list subcontractors or suppliers may be cause for rejection of the Bid. All bidders, and sub-contractors, must file a "3-Year Contractor's Qualification Application," and other documents with the Bid (see Instructions to Bidders). Note: All applications that were previously approved under the last 3-year cycle expired on 1/30/2022. Therefore, All bidders and subcontractors that did Not submit an application form for bidding on a project after the above date, Must submit a new application form and $75.00 application fee in order to be considered for this project. All completed 3-Year Contractor's Qualification Applications should be submitted directly to the Village of Mount Pleasant. As a part of their Bids, Bidders shall submit a full and complete list of: 1) all of their proposed Subcontractors, and 2) the class of work which each will perform. The selected Contractor shall not alter this list without the written consent of the Owner. The PS & CD require that the selected Contractor and Subcontractor(s) furnish a Certificate of Insurance. Bids shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to the Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within 15 days after the Award, the Bid Security shall be forfeited to Owner as liquidated damages. The Owner has the right to reject any and/or all bids received, to waive any minor defects or irregularities that may be found in the bids, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the Owner, subject to the provisions of Sections 62.15 and 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Bidder awarded a contract for the work shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract price. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to the Engineer. If addenda are issued, all Bids submitted shall include an acknowledgement of receipt of the Addenda.
