Description

The plan for this project is to update the existing facade and complete renovations on the third floor residential unit. The plan for the facade is to remove the existing facade and replace it with a new brick facade. The store front will also be updated in this process. A structural wall of metal or wood will be built, and then a single course brick veneer will be tied to that. This will give the appearance of a traditional brick exterior, but allows for energy efficient insulation within the stud wall. The removal of the existing brick will also allow for a widened upper level entryway at the street level. For the interior, work will be completed within the 3rd floor residential unit. The applicant has brought this unit to a “roughed in” state, including the completion of electrical, plumbing, and framing. The grant will then be used to do all the finishing work and bring the unit to a rentable status and a higher end finish. This include painting and installing natural finish maple floors, wood cabinets with glass doors, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, a stainless double bay sink, a stainless hood fan, baseboards, stackable washer and dryer, marble tile in the bathroom, a suspended vanity and sink, as well as, a fiberglass bathtub.
