Description | Forest District #3, Tuscarora State Forest Toboyne Township Perry County, Pennsylvania Project Description : Remove (2) existing 2,000 gallon aboveground vault fuel tanks (one gasoline; one diesel) and install (2) new 2,000 gallon above ground fuel tanks. Deadline 10/23/2023 03:30 PM CDT Remarks All questions must be received through the Bid Express Service. Questions asked via email, phone, or otherwise will not be answered. BID INSTRUCTIONS AND IMPORTANT BID INFORMATION 1. All bids must be submitted electronically through Bid Express. Paper bids are not accepted. Note: The Department will not accept bids that are delivered in person or bids that are submitted via the Postal Service or delivery services, such as Federal Express or UPS. 2. The right is reserved, as the interests of the Commonwealth may require, to revise or amend the Bid Documents prior to the dates set for opening of bids. Such revisions will be announced by Addenda to the Bid Documents. Copies of all such Addenda issued will be sent to all parties receiving copies of the Bid Documents and must be acknowledged with the bid. 3. Contractor is to begin work within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice to Proceed, and to complete work within (90) Ninety calendar days. 4. The tenth (10th) day after receipt of Notice to Proceed shall be the official starting date unless the ten (10) day period is extended in writing by the Secretary. It is understood that if the work is not completed within the time above specified or such extension thereof, as shall be granted in accordance with the General Conditions, the Contractor shall pay the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as liquidated damages and not as a penalty for non-completion of work, the amount of ($300)Three Hundred per day for each and every calendar day thereafter until the work shall be completed and accepted. Pursuant to Executive Order 2021-06, Worker Protection and Investment (October 21, 2021), the Commonwealth is responsible for ensuring that every worker in Pennsylvania has a safe and healthy work environment and the protections afforded them through labor laws.
