Description | The Work shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, furnishing all materials, performing all labor and constructing the following, complete in place: 1. Remove and dispose of the existing concrete driveway ramp, sidewalk and apron as indicated. Removal shall be to an existing joint, if applicable, or to a new saw cut if necessary. Adjacent concrete shall be protected from damage. The entire area may be removed at one time, as the Fire Station will relocate the fire trucks to another location during the construction period. Excavate and dispose of existing subbase and subgrade material to the proposed subgrade depth, as indicated by the proposed finished grades and the depths of the proposed pavement courses. Compact subgrade as indicated. Includes all excavation needed to place forms for new concrete. 2. Place and compact PennDOT No. 2A Subbase, 6” depth, on compacted subgrade. (410 SY). 3. Construct Reinforced Concrete Pavement, 8” depth, in all areas that will receive vehicular traffic, on compacted subbase, as indicated. Includes all joints, joint filler material and reinforcement. Includes driveway ramp at Lancaster Avenue, sidewalk adjacent to ramp and apron in front of Fire Station. For driveway ramp at Lancaster Avenue no subsurface curb forms will be required; the existing pavement will serve as the subsurface curb form. Includes broom finish perpendicular to direction of fire truck travel. Also includes placing joint material between back wall of trench drain and the adjacent concrete slab that will remain. (3,450 SF). 4. Construct Cement Concrete Sidewalk, 5” depth, in areas that will not receive vehicular traffic, on compacted subbase, as indicated. (230 SF) |
