Description | The Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract with a qualified CONTRACTOR to provide dredging to the Whiskey Creek Entrance Channel as depicted by the plan view and cross-section. The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all tasks necessary for the dredging of approximately 2,100 cubic yards of material. The material handling, placement, and disposal will be the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR. Jake Bond, JBond@leegov.com 1. Order of Work 2. Proposed methodology of execution of work. 3. Vessels and heavy equipment to be used. 4. Number of and qualifications of personnel to be used during construction. 5. Specific methods to be used in establishing horizontal and vertical control and for staking out the Work 6. Documentation to be supplied to the OWNER that shows the material disposal location is properly zoned and made available for use by the property owner to the CONTRACTOR. Any inquiries, suggestions, or requests concerning interpretation, clarification, or additional information pertaining to the solicitation shall be submitted in writing prior to 5:00 PM at least eight (8) calendar days prior to the date when the submission is due. Liquidated Damages: Damages paid usually in the form of monetary payment, agreed by the parties to a contract which are due and payable as damages by the party who breaches all or part of the contract. May be applied on a daily basis for as long as the breach is in effect. Responsive and Responsible: Only bids received from responsive and responsible bidders will be considered. The County reserves the right before recommending any award to inspect the facilities and organization; or to take any other necessary action, such as background checks, to determine ability to perform is satisfactory, and reserves the right to reject submission packages where evidence submitted, or investigation and evaluation indicates an inability for the bidder to perform |
