Description | PROJECT INFORMATION: The contractor shall provide janitorial service of the government owned facilities at services for Locks and Dams #1, #2, and #3 (William O Huske Lock and Dam) on the Cape Fear River located in Bladen County, North Carolina. These facilities are operated and maintained by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District. Janitorial service includes trash collection, disposal, and cleaning of the interior and exterior of public restrooms, picnic shelters, picnic tables, impact areas, grounds, roads, walkways, parking areas, fishing piers and surrounding areas. Each of the three locks and dams has public recreation facilities including a restroom building, picnic shelter/s, a boat ramp, public parking areas, and shoreline areas open for fishing. Lock #1 has a wooden fishing pier. The Contractor shall provide all planning, programming, administration, management supervision, maintenance of accurate and complete records and files, quality control inspection, personnel, materials, supplies, parts, tools, equipment and vehicles, except as otherwise provided for herein, necessary to perform required services. After award and before beginning performance, the Contractor shall furnish samples of all cleaning supplies and related materials proposed for use under this contract to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for approval prior to use. Samples shall include but not be limited to, the following items: soaps, detergents, disinfectants, insecticides, deodorant, chrome polish, refuse container liners and toilet tissue. Cleaning supplies and related material may not be heavily scented or perfumed. All cleaning supplies shall comply with Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines on cleaning products and schedules to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. |
