Description

Provide roadway resurfacing services for various roadways throughout Citrus County. The work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all equipment, labor and material for resurfacing the proposed roads using one of two methods. Method 1 is to be used on roads constructed with soil-cement base, which entails placing 1.5” of Hot Open Grade Mix as a leveling course and then placing 1” of SP-9.5 (Fine) with Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) and PG 76-22 Asphalt Binder (binder) per FDOT Section 334-2. Milling at driveways will be performed as needed. Method 2, for non-soil cement based roads, consists of placing an average of 1”, depending on condition of the road, turnout, or intersections as determined by the County, of SP-9.5 (Fine) with RAP and PG 76-22 binder per FDOT Section 334-2. The SP-9.5 (Fine) with RAP and PG 76-22 binder per FDOT Section 334-2 to be provided for the project shall be FDOT pre-approved and identified on the current FDOT Asphalt Mix Design Plant Assignment Sheet. Work for all roads shall include, but not be limited to exposing and cleaning edge of existing pavement, herbicide spraying and removal of weeds/grass and other debris in the roadway, temporary and permanent striping, redressing, filling and sodding areas adjacent to the pavement, and other items as specified in the Contract Documents for approximately 38 miles of roadway in Citrus County, Florida.
