Description

The Kenai Peninsula Borough hereby invites qualified firms to submit a firm price for acceptance by the Borough for ITB23-013 Kenai, Nikiski & Sterling Transfer Facilities Operations & Maintenance 2023. The project consists of the following: Operations and maintenance of the Kenai, Nikiski and Sterling Transfer Facilities and transfer of waste to the Central Peninsula Landfill (CPL) in Soldotna. The subsequent contract will require certificates of insurance and performance and payment bonds. Requests from Bidders for interpretation or clarification of the Bid Documents shall be made in writing to the Purchasing and Contracting Director and shall arrive no later than 5:00 PM on September 13, 2022. Questions may be submitted through the questions and answers section of this bid faxed to (907) 714-2373 or emailed to purchasing@kpb.us. The subject line of the email should read, "Questions: ITB23-013 Kenai, Nikiski, Sterling TF's Operation & Maintenance 2023". Work shall commence on January 1, 2023, and, subject to assembly or mayor approval and assembly appropriation, shall terminate on December 31, 2024. The Contract, upon the written agreement of the parties, may be extended for up to three (3) one-year terms The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive minor irregularities in any bids or in the bidding procedure, and to accept any bid presented which meets or exceeds said specifications and which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Borough. However, the requirements for timeliness and manual signatures shall not be waived. The Borough is not obligated to accept the lowest bid and is not responsible for bid preparation costs.
