Description

The project consists of supplying and installing variable frequency drivers, PLC's, and necessary appurtenances, for the Defiance County Express Sewer Lift Station. All bids must be signed and submitted on the blanks which are bound in this booklet. Bids must state the unit prices in the blanks provided and be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked - Bid for Defiance County Express Sewer Lift Station Electrical Modification - and addressed to the Defiance County Commis- sioners, 500 Court Street, Suite A, Defiance, OH 43512. Bids received after the scheduled bid opening date and time, or not accompanied by a satisfactory bid bond or check, will neither be read nor considered. The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form). 2.A certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit in favor of the County in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is 100% payment and performance bond. 3.If you are an out-of-state corporation wishing to submit a bid for this project, you must submit an Ohio Certificate of Good Standing and the name and address of your Ohio Statutory Agent with your bid documents. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of comparable size and complexity, and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. All contractors and subcontractors involved in the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of OAC Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio. The Defiance County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregu- larity in any bid and to determine the lowest and best bidder. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
