Only bids from current City of Tampa certified Small Local Business Enterprises (SLBE’s), and Underutilized Women/Minority Business Enterprises (WMBEs) within the industry category of GOODS shall be considered (see MBD Form-70). All materials shall be free of mud, refuse, and construction debris. Small Washed Shell. Natural shells flushed free of salt and organic material, up to 1” in size. Shall also be free of rocks and gravel. Medium Washed Shell. Natural shells flushed free of salt and organic material, up to 2” in size. Shall also be free of rocks and gravel. Fine Masonry Sand. Aggregate sand crushed from quarried rock, free of organic material, free of rocks and gravel. Grains should pass freely through #16 screen, more than 95% of material through a #50 screen, more than 27% of it through a #100 screen, and more than 5% of it through a #100 screen. Yellow Sand. Excavation pit sand in its natural state, neither cleaned nor screened, of a natural yellow color. Coarse Concrete Sand. Aggregate sand crushed from quarried rock, free of organic material, free of rocks and gravel. Grains should pass freely through #4 screen, more than 95% of material through a #20 screen, more than 65% of it through a #40 screen, and more than 30% of it through a #80 screen. Crushed Asphalt. Asphalt fines up to 1” pieces, free of organic material, free of rocks and gravel.
