Description

Project no: GAOA Update: August 1, 2022: The purpose of this update is to extend the solicitation closing date to August 15, 2022 for the purposes of answering questions that were received prior to the cut off. An Amendment will be issued at a later date that will formally extend the Solicitation as well as provide the questions and answers. Offerors who have already submitted a proposal will be allowed to revise their proposal or state that there are no changes to the previously submitted proposal price. Update June 2, 2022: The purpose of this update is to inform potential offerors that this solicitation has been extended for a TBD point in time. Questions have been received that will need time to research answers. A future amendment to the solicitation will post questions and answers as well as establish a new due date for proposals. Update April 8, 2022: The purpose of this update is to inform potential offerors that the solicitation due date has been extended until June 3, 2022 for the purposes of hosting a site visit for May 17th 2022. An official SF 30 Amendment with more information will follow shortly. The U.S. Forest Service is soliciting offers for a single award, Firm-Fixed Price contract type with an estimated magnitude for the base and options between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Government anticipates awarding a sole contract for installation of a power grid at Shell Falls Wayside in Bighorn National Forest, WY. Additional awards, at Forest Service discretion, may be considered depending on Forest Service need and results for proposal evaluations. Prospective offerors are required to submit proposals in accordance with the forthcoming solicitation. Scope of Work: Work for this project requires the contractor to be responsible for supplying all labor, materials, equipment, utilities, miscellaneous items, freight and delivery and all necessary valid licenses and permits to remove underground primary feeders and associated junction boxes, and install underground primary feeders, including cable, junction boxes, grounding, trenching, backfilling, and testing. Currently, primary power is not available to Shell Falls Wayside due to several faults in the underground primary power line. This opportunity is set aside for total small businesses. Location(s): This project is located at Shell Falls Wayside on the Bighorn National Forest. The project site is on U.S. Highway 14, approximately 72 miles west of Sheridan, Wyoming or 30 miles east of Greybull, Wyoming.
