Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District (USACE-CESAW) will contract for services to make repairs and upgrade the existing Access Control Security System and related electrical infrastructure which operates the building’s CAC Enabled Card Access Readers, the front Vehicle Access Point, and its Intercom System. The Vehicle Access Point has two gates (in-bound and out-bound) which operate on a contactless CAC Reader/ and underground Proximity sensor loop. Each gate (in-bound and out-bound) are opened and closed by two separate gate operators. This system was installed approximately 15yrs ago and is now demonstrating severe degradation of performance and reliability. There are two interconnected problems that will both need addressed to resolve this issue. The integrity of the electrical infrastructure supporting the vehicle gate has been compromised and needs to be replaced and updated. The in-bound ACP Card Reader (CAC), intercom and camera system have been experiencing intermittent malfunctions and need to be replaced/upgraded.
