Description

The Project includes the following Work: Base Bid: Installation of new sewage lift station with an appurtenant valve vault, approximately 115 linear feet of new 8-inch sewer force main, and approximately 120 linear feet of 10-inch gravity sewer main. The new lift station shall be equipped with new dual submersible pumps with new controls, piping, check valves, and floats. Extension of 3- phase power to the site is to be coordinated with Continental Electric Divide Electric Cooperative. The new gravity sewer main will connect to and extend from an existing sewer line, and feature two (2) new manholes. Installation of the new force main includes a new pressurized cleanout and the connection to an existing force main to connect the new lift station to the Village's municipal sewage collection system Additive Alternate 1: Construction will include extending potable water facilities to the new lift station site through the installation of approximately 145 linear of 2" PVC water line and 25 linear feet of 1" copper service line. The new 2" water line will: connect (tap) an existing water main, will feature a new 2" gate valve, and be capped at the line's termination point, as shown in the construction drawings. The new 1" water service line will extend from the new 2" water line and which will feature a new frost proof hydrant and new water meter to service and measure the sanitary water use at the new lift station facility. Additive Alternative 2: Construction will include lining the interior concrete surfaces of the new lift station with a corrosion resistant polyurethane coating. Additive Alternative 3: The new control panel for the new lift station will be equipped with SCADA hardware equipment to allow the new lift station to be incorporated onto a future SCADA System that is being developed under a separate upcoming project. Additive Alternative 4: Construction will include installing gravel covering over the area designated for the new lift station site, as well as approximately 100 linear feet of new perimeter chain link fencing to enclose and secure the new lift station facilities. The new perimeter fence will feature a height of 8-feet and a drivable access gate. Additive Alternative 5: Construction will include the abandonment of the existing Stanley Lift Station vaults, including the existing wet well, dry pump vault, and control panel. The salvageable mechanical equipment featured in the existing lift station vaults shall be removed, recovered, and supplied to the Village, prior to demolishing the underground vaults. Additive Alterative 6: Construction will include equipping the 8-inch sewer force main with a new 8" pressure cleanout. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Milan Stanley Lift Station Replacement The Project has an expected duration of 120 days.
