| Description | The purpose of this specification is to describe a solution to be used as: A liquid melting agent to pre-wet granular sodium chloride or mixes of sodium chloride and abrasives used for deicing of highways during winter maintenance operations A liquid melting agent to be applied directly to the pavement as an anti-icing application A solution applied to gravel roads used a soil stabilizer and dust palliative The brine solution shall be supplied in a 30% (melting agent) and 32% solution (soil stabilizer) strength (by volume).
