Description

For Moorman Park New Parking Lot Bids are invited upon the items of work as follows: Work of the Project includes Construction of a new parking lot to be located north of the Moorman Park Activity Area and volleyball courts. The proposed work includes: excavation, concrete pavement or asphalt pavement, sidewalks, curbs, site grading and drainage, storm sewer, and utilities. Technical questions regarding interpretations of the bidding documents shall be directed to Cullan Duke of Klingner & Associates PC at (217) 223-3670; dcd@klingner.com and NOT City Blue Technologies. All proposals shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the "Proposal Bid Bond" form contained in the project manual, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the Quincy Park District, or a bank cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check payable to the Quincy Park District, for not less than 5 percent (5%) of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past. The Quincy Park District is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages minority group participation in the bidding and construction process. Bidders are notified that not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all workmen performing work under this contract. Bids may be held by Quincy Park District for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. The Quincy Park District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities.
