C--Signage & Wayfinding - AE Design

The Architect/Engineering firm selected for this project will be required to evaluate the current exterior and interior signage system at the VA campus in Erie, PA. The purpose is to identify aspects of the existing system that requires improvement and provide a general solution, once approved, develop the complete working drawings, specifications, cost estimate, and construction period services for a construction contract for the demolition and installation of the new exterior and interior signage as well as wayfinding campus wide. Design a complete and functional user-friendly environmental designs that, provides flexibility to allow for in-house maintenance and updating, larger wayfinding signs at key locations, updating current signage to have a hierarchy; most important information being the most visible, with secondary and tertiary information being smaller, on-campus directional signage to be located at or immediately preceding decision points and not obscured in any locations, and in accordance with all National Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, and Building Codes, ADA Requirements, Fire/Life/Safety, and Security Codes, JACHO Compliance, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and VA Standards.
