Description

Approximately twenty-five thousand linear feet of 8 sanitary sewer, ninety-five sanitary manholes, four thousand seven hundred linear feet of 4 force main, two hundred 6 sanitary laterals, a new duplex pump station, and expansion to the Kensington Wastewater Treatment Plant. as the official depository for bid submittal. In the case of disruption of communications or loss of services by Bid Express within 2 hours prior to the deadline for submission of bids, the County shall delay the deadline for the bid submissions to ensure the ability of potential bidders to submit bids. If this occurs, instructions will be communicated to potential bidders. Only electronic bids will be accepted for this project. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for 100% of the contract price. Bids shall be subject to the condition that the right is reserved to hold bids for a period not longer than 60 days after date of opening and/or to award at any time during the period. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to increase, to decrease or omit any item or items and/or to award to the lowest and responsible, responsive, bidder. The Owner also reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bid received. This construction of this project will be funded in part with funds made available from the Federal Government through the US Army Corps of Engineers Section 594 program. Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations for construction projects receiving Federal aid including, but not limited to, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and the Davis-Bacon Act as amended.
