Dekalb Pike Sidewalk - Design Activities Limited to: ADA Curb Ramps

The description and location of the project is as follows: This project is located along the south side of Dekalb Pike (SR 0202). The project include the construction of a new sidewalk, new guide rail, remove and replace concrete curb in the area adjacent to the new guide rail, grading for the new guide rail and sidewalk, and other miscellaneous construction, as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package for state route 0202, section 238, in montgomery county upper merion township from approximately Saulin Boulvard at segment 0080 offset 1592 to approximately the Borough of Bridgeport at segment 0090 offset 0740. The DeKalb Pile Sidewalk project is intended principally for transportation and safety purposes. The project proposes an easy to use, and expanded, yet integrated transportation network. When fully implemented, the pedestrian and bicycle network components will result in a more bike-able and walk-able King of Prussia area. This project will reduce congestion to the extent it shifts mode choice from single occupancy vehicles to pedestrian travel and, bridges a planned connection to the Bridgeport Train Station. The project is located in a densely populated area where short driving trips by area residents to the King of Prussia Mall and office and business parks are necessary due to the lack of adequate pedestrian facilities.
