On-Call Maintenance and Repair Services for Various Lighting Systems

The City of Alameda invites proposals for the On Call Maintenance and Repair Services for Municipal Street, Park Pathway and Parking Lot Lighting Systems The City is responsible for operation and maintenance of an estimated 7,500 street, park pathway and parking lot lights. The Public Works Department is looking for a contractor to assist with as-needed, scheduled and emergency repair work to the lighting systems. In addition, the Recreation and Parks Department is seeking as-needed repair work to stadium and ballfield lighting systems and other accessory lighting. The term of the contract is 5 years with the first year's funding estimated at $275,000 for Public Works support and an additional $38,000 for Recreation and Parks Department support. The contract will include a negotiated and agreed upon cost inflator. The selected Contractor shall furnish all tools, equipment, transportation, labor, and materials to perform all work authorized under this agreement. For certain work, the City will provide parts otherwise the Contractor shall provide parts. All work performed and equipment and parts supplied by the Contractor shall be subject to inspection and approval of the Public Works Director or designee. Failure to pass inspection on any maintenance, repair, or service item shall result in non-payment for that item until such time that the Contractor can present the item to the City in an acceptable form. All work must be performed in accordance with the Project Specifications contained in Appendix A. Any Proposal received prior to 2 PM on May 3, 2023 may be modified by written addendum or withdrawn by written request from the Proposer to the City up to the official time when all proposals are due.
