Description

The lowest responsive bidder must demonstrate previous successful completion of projects of a similar size and scope to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: Maine Federal Aid Project Nos. 2514300, WIN 25143.00, 2601300, WIN 26013.00, 2672000, WIN 26720.00, & 2673000, WIN 26730.00. Location: In Hancock County: Project 2514300 is located on Route 3 beginning 0.02 miles East of Oak Point Road in Trenton and extending Southeast 3.37 miles to Bar Harbor. Project 2601300 is located on Route 3 in Trenton 0.91 of a mile South of Jordan River Road. Project 2672000 is located on Route 3 in Bar harbor beginning 0.01 of a mile North of Bay View Drive and extending North 3.02 miles. Project 2673000 is located on Route 3 beginning in Ellsworth 0.06 of a mile North of Buttermilk Road and extending South 6.41 miles to Trenton. Outline of Work: Pavement Milling, Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay, Ultra-Thin Bonded Wearing Course with Drainage and Safety Improvements, and other incidental work. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable Federal Laws. This contract is subject to compliance with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program requirements as set forth by the Maine Department of Transportation. The right is hereby reserved to the MaineDOT to reject any or all bids.
