Description

The scope of work for this project includes making structural repairs to the masonry walls identified in the Contract Drawings. Work includes 1.Apply acid treatment to remove all traces of hardened Portland cement mortar, calcite and related efflorescent materials where deposited on the surface of the face stone units; clean biological infestation/soil/stain deposits from surface of stone. 2.Remove existing mortar from the joints and install new mortar. 3.Inject grout materials into wall cavities filling them solid to eliminate voids. 4.Insert replacement stones in locations where they have been dislodged from the wall. 5.Construct a continuous cement-based weather cap on the top surface extending across the width of the wall, including removal of existing EPDM membrane materials and cleaning and preparing substrates.
