Roof Replacement Hangar B-2 / Heliqwest

Replace existing roof on building B-2 / Heliqwest at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport – Hangar B-2 located at 11915 Airport Way, Broomfield, CO 80021 The Work consists of: Replace Roofing Systems: a) Special Considerations: The work takes place at an airport on a building located on the flight line. The Contractor shall complete all work in a manner that at no time are they impinging on the safe operation of aircraft. The requirements will be covered in a pre-construction meeting with selected contractor. b) Demolition: At the areas indicated on the Roof Plan, remove the existing PVC roofing system and underlying insulation down to the surface of the sheet metal roofing. c) Install a new base layer of 1.5” thick isocyanurate foam insulation boards between the standing seams of the sheet metal roofing. Cut boards to fit snugly between ribs of the metal roofing panel as shown on the Drawings. d) Set a second continuous layer of foam over the base layer of foam insulation that is 1.5” thick. e) Cover this foam insulation with a layer of 1/2" high density isocyanurate foam cover board or 1/2” OSB sheathing as indicated on the Roof Plan. f) Install tapered edge strip panels at the rake edge flashing. g) Secure all layers of insulation, cover board and tapered edge strip with FM Approved screw and plate roof insulation fasteners simultaneously. h) Install a new adhered 115 mil Fleeceback TPO membrane over the top of the cover board and tapered edge strip. Secure the membrane in a continuous film of low-rise foam adhesive. i) Install new supported and unsupported TPO flashings. j) Provide new sheet metal flashing and counter flashings. k) Provide new gutters and open face down spouts l) Provide a written 20-year warranty covering the new roofing material and labor in a leak free state at a no-dollar limit. Also provide a written two-year contractor’s warranty covering completed roof assembly in a leak free state.
