Description

The Wibaux County Commissioners will accept sealed bids submitted for crushing approximately 30,000 yards of scoria. The bid opening will be open to the public. A bid bond in compliance with Montana Law relating to bonds shall accompany any bid for the above-mentioned work and for the bid price against the failure or refusal of the bidder to enter into a contract should the bid be accepted. The monies, bank instruments or bid bonds, shall be returned to those bidders whose bids are not accepted. If the bidder is awarded the contract, the bidder will, within 20 days, enter into a formal contract and give a good and sufficient bond to secure the performance of the terms and conditions of the contract. If a bond is not provided, the bidder shall pay the county the difference in money between the amount of the bid of the bidder and the amount for which the County legally contracts with another party to perform the work or services if the latter amount is in excess of the former. The pit where the scoria crushing will occur has already been opened and permitted. The specifications for the rock to be crushed are that it must be sized to 2.5 inches minus. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids; to award the crushing contract for the bid considered to be the best suited to the County or in the best interests of the County; and, to waive informalities. The County reserves the right to determine what constitutes any and all irregularities or informalities and to contact bidders for clarification or additional information. Signed this 22nd day of Aug 2022.
