Description

a. Removal of existing channel covers b. Removal of existing slide gates and hand gates c. Removal and/or placement of Mechanical Screening systems out of the rehabilitation limits including local control station, conduits, ultrasonic level detector, and screening conveyance system. All equipment removed shall be treated with care and stored/packed to be protected from the elements. d. Removal of existing lining materials, where present, and blasting/cleaning of existing concrete to sound materials e. Removal of existing concrete wall and wall sleeves at selective locations shown in the Drawings f. Concrete repairs to interior channels, construction of channel plate seats, block-outs for replacement gates and concrete wall replacement as detailed in the Drawings. Existing wall sleeves shall be replaced with D.I. materials as Base Bid and 316 S.S. materials as Additive Alternate No. 1. The north and south walls will be removed and replaced if Additive Alternate No. 1 is authorized. g. Lining of the structure’s interior channels (bottom, walls, and underslab) following completion of the concrete repairs h. Installation of 316 SS channel plates with support beams and aluminum grating at specific locations shown on the Drawings upstream of the Mechanical Screens h. Deck lighting removal and replacement l. Existing electrical room rehabilitation and lighting replacement m. Clean all existing electrical room walls and ceiling and coat along with interior piping n.
