Description | The Erie County Water Authority (Authority) is seeking Professional Services Proposals for consulting engineering services for the improvements of water distribution system in the Town of Amherst. The Authority is planning to replace several distribution mains over the next three years (2022 - 2024). The project is within Town of Amherst which is a Direct Service area owned and operated by the Authority. The projects are scheduled for design in 2022 with construction in 2023 and 2024. The project shall be designed under a single phase with two construction contracts (two construction seasons). The project will entail the following contract: Installation of approximately 42,250 linear feet of new distribution waterline on multiple streets in the Town of Amherst. The project will consist of the replacement of existing waterlines on Ruskin Road (entire length), Coniston Road (entire length), Brantwood Road (entire length), Berryman Drive (entire length), Washington Highway (entire length), Mount Vernon Road (from Main Street to Kensington Avenue), Amherstdale Road (entire length), Concord Place (from Lexington Terrace to Kensington Avenue), Keswick Road (from Lebrun Road to Brantwood Road), Lebrun Road (from Eggert Road to East Four Seasons Road), Saratoga Road (from East Four Seasons Road to Brantwood Road), Wansfell Road (entire length), Colonial Drive (from Amherstdale Road to Harlem Road), Dorchester Road (entire length), Hancock Terrace (entire length), Charlestown Road (entire length), Yorktown Road (from Mount Vernon Road to Harlem Road), Lexington Terrace (entire length), and Kensington Avenue (from East Treehaven Riad to Concord Place). The existing waterlines will be abandoned in place. The sizes and types of the new waterlines will be determined as a part of the design project but will be a minimum 8-inch diameter. |
