Description | PROJECT A: TRANSFER STATION / RECYCLING CENTER PAVING :Paving and FDR base preparation of approximately 6,500 S.Y. around the existing transfer station facility. The prepared FDR base is to be paved with two inches of binder and one and a half inches of asphalt topping. The work includes the removal of 60 linear feet of 24-inch CMP storm pipe and the installation of 60 linear feet of 24-inch Class III RCP. PROJECT B: SHOAL CREEK C&D LANDFILL ENTRY: Paving and FDR base preparation of approximately 9,500 S.Y. for the existing entrance road and access road leading to the active landfill area. The prepared FDR base area is to be paved with two inches of binder and one and a half inches of asphalt topping. The project includes the installation of 155 linear feet of 18-inch Class III RCP and 12 linear feet of 36-inch RCP. PROJECT C: SHOAL CREEK C&D LANDFILL ACCESS ROAD :Stabilization of 1,200 linear feet of existing earthen "haul road" leading to future landfill areas. The stabilization method consists of the placement of a geotextile fabric and #2 stone. The work also includes the installation of 60 linear feet of 15-inch Class III RCP. Bidding Documents/Project Manual must be obtained by prospective Bidders at the Issuing Office: Paragon Consulting Group, Inc., 350 Airport Road, Griffin, Georgia 30224, 770-412-7700. Bidder shall also provide a letter from the Surety Company verifying the Bidder has the bonding capacity as outlined for the project and that the Surety Company will bond projects for Contractor as outlined in the specifications. The Owner is not obligated to consider a Bidders proposal if Bidder is not on record with the Issuing Office as having received complete Bidding Documents/Project Manual from the Issuing Office. Contractor questions regarding the bid should be directed to Jason Graham via email at jagraham@pcgeng.com. All questions must be submitted in writing. The last day for contractor questions is 12:00 PM, local time Wednesday, August 30, 2023. Bidding Documents/Project Manual may be reviewed at the Issuing Office: Paragon Consulting Group, Inc., 350 Airport Road, Griffin, Georgia 30224, 770-412-7700 The time allowed for Substantial Completion is 45 days, and the time allowed for completion and readiness for final payment is 60 days from the date of commencement. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond completed on the attached Bid Bond Form with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the Owner in an amount equivalent to five (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, or cash in equal amount. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount at least equal to 110 percent of the contract amount, and a Certification of Insurance will be required. A Certification of Insurance will be required from the low bidder prior to award of the Contract. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for ninety days after the day of the Bid opening, but Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities and re-advertise.
