Description

Remove and replace the existing interior, radiating (Radiax) cable antenna system originating from the following DITP Radio Room Node locations: a. Node 1: North Main Pump Station b. Node 2: Primary Operations Building c. Node 3: Maintenance Warehouse Building d. Node 4: Disinfection Building e. Node 5: Centrifuge Building f. Node 6: Hydropower Plant g. Node 7: Operations Center 2. Replace the existing Radiax cable originating from each node location with new Radiax cable as indicated on the contract drawings. Furnish, install, test and placethe new slotted, coaxial, radiating type cable into service. The existing radiosystem at the DITP consists of the seven radio rooms as noted above in Section (1.03)(A)(1) designated as Nodes 1 thru 7. Each radio room is equipped with transmitters, receivers and amplifiers utilized by the Boston Fire Department (BFD) and the DITP. Plant-wide voice communication signals for both systems are transmitted and received via the existing interior, Radiax cable antenna system. 3. Furnish, install and test all new and existing in-line connectors, directional couplers (splitters) and dummy loads. 4. Furnish and install all ancillary equipment and Radiax cable supports necessary to construct a complete and functional interior, Radiax cable antenna system including but not limited to, corrosion resistant non-metallic hangers, supports, brackets, concrete anchors, fasteners, threaded rod and messenger cable.5. Furnish, install, test and place into operation, the addressable fire alarm monitor modules indicated on the contract drawings. 6. Intercept and extend the existing building fire alarm system Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) from the nearest existing smoke detector back to each new addressable monitor module. 7. Furnish and install the class 'A' supervisory fire alarm wiring from each addressable monitor module back to each existing BDA enclosure. Perform allfinal connections within the BDA enclosure. 8. Program the local Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) in each building where a BDA node is located. Program the Master FACP (head end) located at Primary Operations for each building node location. 9. Program the graphics display (annunciator) with zone identification at the Guard House
