Description | This project involves improvements to two existing structures within the City of Sugar Land, TX. The first improvement, calls for the removal and replacement of two metal trash screens affixed to the existing dual 54” storm sewer outfalls. The outfalls are within a detention pond on Central Drive southeast of IH-59 frontage road directly adjacent to the United Healthcare Building. The second improvement, calls for the modification of the metal sheet pile structure with a rectangular notched weir. The structure is embedded in Oyster Creek on the west side of Dulles Avenue between Randall Oak Drive and Plantation Colony Drive. The modification includes cutting and removing the top section of the metal sheet piles on each side of the weir opening to match the weir opening elevation. All work involved includes traffic control, tree protection and storm water pollution prevention measures, and any existing features that are damaged in the project vicinity as a result of construction activities will require restoration to same or better conditions. |
