Description | To Provide Architectural and Construction Services on an as Needed and Non-exclusive Basis for Up-fitting a Portion of the Albany Police Department (“APD”) Headquarters Located at 165 Henry Johnson Boulevard, Albany, New York 12210. APD currently hosts the Capital Region Crime Analysis Center, organized through New York State’s Division of Criminal Justice Services, at APD’s Morton Avenue station (or, “South Station”) located at One Morton Avenue, Albany, New York 12210. 1.3 The CITY, in partnership with the Division of Criminal Justice Services, plans to facilitate a move of the Crime Analysis Center from its current location on Morton Avenue to APD headquarters located at Henry Johnson Boulevard. To accomplish this goal, the CITY seeks quotes from qualified professionals to provide architectural and construction services to fit the needs of the Crime Analysis Center. The selected Proposer(s) may also be required to provide engineering services, as may be identified by the CITY and the selected Proposer(s). The selected Proposer(s) may be required to consult with the CITY’s Department of Engineering. The selected Proposer(s) may be required to perform the following scope of services on an as-needed and non-exclusive basis, and in the manner(s) herein described: A. Architectural services, generally. 1. Assess the premises at the site visit. 2. Each Proposer shall submit a Building Plan with its Proposal. 3. A Building Plan shall include the design for the minor remodeling. B. Construction services, generally. 1. The Building Plan shall also include the estimated timeframe for completion of the minor remodeling work required to up-fit the premises for the Crime Analysis Center. 2. The Building Plan shall also include any subcontractors, if any, the Proposer intends to hire to complete the minor remodeling work. C. Work Schedule for professional architectural and construction services shall be determined based on the needs of APD, which may include weekly status calls with APD Command Staff. D. Documentation and Reporting. E. The selected Proposer(s) shall provide the professional architectural and construction services in a professional manner at all times, including, but not limited to, responsiveness to APD; accurate accounting of materials to be purchased and materials actually used by the Proposer. |
