Description | The work shall be bid and awarded under Specification Number 2108 as four (4) separate prime contracts for General Construction, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical work. Bids must be sealed in an envelope and shall bear on the face thereof the name and address of the Bidder as well as the specific contract(s) bid on as set forth above and shall be submitted as follows: By regular or express mail to: Tappan Fire District, PO box 525, Tappan, NY 10983 and be received by 4:00 pm on August 22, 2022; By FedEx or special delivery to Thomas Quinn, 54 Bennington Dr. Tappan, NY 10983 by 2:00 pm on August 22, 2022; or delivered personally by 7:00 pm August 22, 2022 at the Tappan Fire Department Washington Street firehouse located at 123 Washington Street, Tappan, NY 10983. All bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the Tappan Fire District, in accordance with the specifications and instructions to Bidders. The responsibility for having the bid received at the bid opening remains the sole responsibility of the bidder without exception. All bids must meet the requirements of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York and all other applicable statutes and have a statement of non-collusion. All documents submitted in connection with this bid will become the property of the Fire District and the Fire District will not return bid documents. The contract for the above item(s) will be awarded by the Board of Fire Commissioners to the lowest responsible bidder within forty-five (45) days of the bid opening. In cases where two or more responsible Bidders submit identical bids as to price, the Board of Fire Commissioners may award the contract to either of such bidders. The Board of Fire Commissioners reserves the right to reject all bids and re-advertise for new bids in its discretion and/or to waive any informality in any bid which it deems immaterial in nature. The work of all contractors shall be substantially complete within 548 calendar days |
