Scott Boulevard Phase II Watermain Replacement

The scope of work for this project consists of installation of 30-inch DIP Watermain and replacement of existing 8-inch distribution mains with 12” DIP inside the right-of-way and under the existing pavement. The existing 30” steel watermain and some of the 8-inch distribution mains will be abandoned in place and filled with non-shrink grout. Components also include the replacement and installation of 12-inch DIP Water main inside the right-ofway to run parallel to the 30-inch main with interconnections at specified locations. It will be necessary to stage the construction in order to avoid any interruptions in service and so that fire protection will be maintained at all times. The site conditions will not be altered from the existing. All disturbed pavement and landscaping will be replaced in kind. These pipelines are underperforming at the minimum standard level of service required. The proposed construction will also include fittings, and major water lines devices which will render the need of repaving and curbing of the road surface course where needed including the installation and maintenance of erosion control.
