Description | Scope of work includes Jacking/ tunneling of pre-cast RC box culverts under UP Railroad Spur; excavating diversion channel; remove and replace CMP culverts with pre-cast RC box culverts; construct cast-in-place concrete wing walls etc. The Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond and other contract documents may be examined at the following locations: ETC Engineers & Architects, Inc. 1510 South Broadway Little Rock, AR 72202 Southern Reprographics, Inc. Plan Room Services 901 West 7th Street Little Rock, AR 72201 City of Maumelle City Hall 550 Edgewood Drive, Suite 590 Maumelle, AR 72113 Obtaining contract documents through any source other than the Engineer/Architect listed above, or its representative(s) is not advisable due to the risks of receiving incomplete or inaccurate information, and the bidder runs the risk of basing bidder's proposal on such information. The documents obtained through the Engineer/Architect, or his representative(s) are considered to be the official version and takes precedence if any discrepancies occur. Bids will be accepted only from official bid document holders. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Maumelle, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. The City hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the contract documents must be paid on the project, and that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in bidding. Bids may be held by the City for a period not to exceed Sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract.
