School Sign for Existing Masonry Frame

1. Sign Faces: To be pan-formed .118" Makrolon - SL SGC-100 Lexan. 2. Sign cabinet size shall be 5'-0"H x 10' -0"L installed in existing masonry frame using "L" brackets. 3. Cabinet shall be designed to bolt into brickwork supplied by the owner. 4. Sign cabinet shall be doubled sided and Pan Faced. 5. Graphics will be applied to second (inside) surface. 6. Sign cabinet shall be Heli-arc welded at mitered corners. 7. Sign cabinet shall be 9” Alcoa Extrude Aluminum. 8. Sign cabinet shall be finished with a powder coated Durethane II graffiti resistant paint. 9. High pigment translucent colors to be achieved with 3M's high performance pressure sensitive vinyl. 10. Marquee area to be covered by a hinged Makrolon - SL SGC-100 Lexan cover equipped with props that automatically hold the cover up and will be equipped with three (3), 1/4 turn locks. 11. Marquee area to be vertically planked. 12. Tracking for lettering will be riveted to the sign face every 4". 13. The message center shall have three (3) lines, 8” each. 14. 501, 8" self-spacing letters shall be provided with the sign. 15. An additional thirty (30) letters of the owner's choice will be available at no charge within the first six (6) months after delivery of the sign by manufacturer and/or contractor. 16. Letters to be double silk-screened on 1/16” DR resin. 17. Letter storage case shall be included. 18. Letters shall be available in red, blue, brown, or black. 19. Must have vandal cover. 20. Sign will be U. L. approved and Sign shall have a minimum wind load of 140 mph. 21. Illumination: High output, instant start fluorescent tubes with electronic ballasts. 22. Vendor shall be responsible for electrical rough-in. Owner will provide power source at a later date. 23. Clean-up: Vendor shall be responsible for the removal of all trash from site. 24. Frame and header color shall be chosen by owner. 25. The sign header area format shall be three (3) lines (50/30/20).
