Description

This site is located in the southeast corner of the Town of Palmyra in southeastern Jefferson County, approximately 1 mile south of the Village of Palmyra, with access off Tamarack Road and Little Prairie Road as shown on the attached map. The terrain on this site is gently rolling with all upland soils. This project involves forestry mulching invasive brush and other undesirable vegetation in pine stands that are scheduled for a marked thinning. The goal of this project is to promote conditions that will allow and encourage natural regeneration of desirable trees to occur after the harvest. The objective throughout this area is to mow/mulch the invasive brush and other undesirable vegetation present on the site using a flail tooth or fixed-tooth brush mulcher/mower in order to prepare the area for natural tree regeneration, and possibly some tree planting.
