Initial phase of a long-term multi-phase project to renovate and add to the existing Olney Hall. Project to include demo of lecture hall appendage on south side of the building and replace it with a new addition with new instructional spaces, a new primary north entrance to the building and campus, relocated loading dock, a new chemical handling facility, and key enabling scope for future critical repairs. Project to include modernization of instructional spaces enabling relocations of academic offices and investments in mech, elect, systems and building envelope. CM's precon efforts will focus on two areas: (1) Preconstruction Estimating and Value Management for the purpose of advising the University on the scope decisions necessary to identify the most effective path to achieving the long-term master plan and (2) assisting with a Destructive Exploratory program to ensure risks are identified as early as possible to avoid potential changes during construction.
