Description: Federal Aid Project No. 2221800, WIN 22218.00 Location: Project is located Madawaska, in Aroostook County. Outline of Work: The scope of work includes the installation of sidewalks and pedestrian crossings as well as the installation of catch basins, storm drain, and other incidental work. The basis of award will be based on the lowest most responsive and responsible bid. General questions may be directed to Janine Murchison at (207) 492-1014. Bidders shall not contact anyone else for clarification of contract provisions. No questions will be accepted after 5:00pm on Thursday, June 22, 2023. Addenda will be issued by email only. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office by paying a deposit of $200 for each set and $20.00 for postage and handling. All fees are non-refundable. Checks shall be made payable to James W. Sewall Company. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Municipality and must be accompanied by a bid bond of 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashiers check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order for 5% of the bid amount, payable to Municipality of Madawaska, as a Bid Guaranty. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each for 100% of the Contract price, shall be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable federal laws, as well as Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program requirements as set forth by the Maine Department of Transportation.
