Description

The work, in general, will include the following schedule of work: Sand Filter Sand Media Replacement. Site Work, Paving, and Site Grading. Site Piping. New Chemical Feed Building and Equipment. Pump Replacements for Dosing Sand Filters. Process Instrumentation. Electrical Power Distribution and Lighting. New Water Supply Well. Grinder Pump Lift Station. Membrane Cover Over Existing Lagoon 3 The proposals shall be submitted on the forms furnished with the specifications. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check payable to the owner equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal or a bid bond of a bonding company duly authorized to do business in the State of Wisconsin in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. This project is expected to be funded in whole or in part with funds provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Utilities Service. Information on applicable federal requirements is contained in the project manual. We encourage MBEs, DBEs, and WBEs to submit bid proposals. The solicitation of subcontractors must evidence a good faith effort to obtain bids from MBEs, DBEs and WBEs, such efforts to be documented. The Offerors or Bidders attention is called to the Equal Opportunity Clauseand the Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specification included in the specifications. American Iron and Steel. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term iron and steel products means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. The following waivers apply to this Contract: De Minimis, Minor Components, Pig iron and direct reduced iron, apply to this contract. Proposals shall not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date of opening. The Lebanon Sanitary District No. 1 reserves the right to reject any or all of the proposals and to waive any informalities therein.
