Fort Crook Elementary School Life Safety Upgrade Project

The scope of the work included in this project generally consists of the work in Fort Crook Elementary School: 1. Installation of a new fire sprinkler system within the building. 2. Installation of a new fire alarm system within the building. 3. Replacement of miscellaneous lighting within the building. 4. Modification of existing door/frame systems at the building entrance for building security provisions Contractors interested in bidding on the project may attend this meeting to review the overall scope of the project and to ask questions on certain aspects of the respective project. The Architect, Engineer and representatives of the Bellevue School District will be in attendance to provide assistance in answering questions on the project. Potential bidding contractors may also visit the building during non-school hours (after 3:30 PM) to review the building conditions in further detail. However, additional site visits will need to be scheduled in coordination with the designated building maintenance personnel located at the building Each Proposal shall be made on a form furnished by the Architect and included within the project manual, and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid price, made payable to the Bellevue Public School District, which shall be considered as liquidated damages, and shall be forfeited to the Bellevue Public School District if said Proposal or Bid is accepted, and the Bidder fails to execute the contract and file the required bond as provided in the specifications. Bid Bond must be executed by a duly licensed corporate surety. Checks accompanying Proposals not accepted shall be returned to the Bidders Bond: The successful bidder, before commencing work, shall furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, for the full amount of the Contract (100%) guaranteeing the completion of the work and performance of the Contract and payment of all labor, materials and equipment which may become a lien against the property. Said bond shall be written on the Standard AIA form A-311. The Bellevue Public School District reserves the right to waive informalities, and to reject any, or all bids.
