Description | The Mannford Elevated Water Storage Rehabilitation, to Be Constructed for the Creek County Board of County Commissioners on Behalf of the City of Mannford, Mannford, Ok The project includes, but is not limited to, the maintenance and rehabilitation of the 160,000 gallon storage tank as shown on the plans and indicated in the specifications. Proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to the Owner, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within ten (10) days after notice of award of Contract to him. Such bid guarantee shall be made payable to the City of Mannford. The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Oklahoma to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner. Davis Bacon Act wage rules shall apply. All laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and subcontractors on projects funded directly by or assisted in whole or in part by and through the Federal Government shall be paid wages at rates not less than those prevailing on projects of a character similar in the locality as determined by the Secretary of Labor in accordance with subchapter IV of Chapter 31 of Title 40, United States Code. The Department of Labor provides all pertinent information related to compliance with labor standards, including prevailing wage rates and instructions for reporting. Creek County and the City of Mannford reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of the County or City, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids. Bids must remain in effect for 60 days after the bid opening date. No oral interpretation will be made to any Bidder as to the meaning of the Contract Documents or any part thereof. Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing to Garver by email to JCHaydock@GarverUSA.com. Any inquiry received forty-eight (48) hours prior to the opening of bids will be given consideration. Every interpretation made to a Bidder will be in the form of an Addendum to the contract Documents, and when issued, will be sent to the Plan Holders list located in the electronic plan room at least twenty-four (24) hours before bids are opened This project is located in Mannford, Oklahoma South off of highway 51 and conrod Drive.
