Description | As of June 29, 2023 the project is in design. A construction timeline has not been confirmed. The Washington County Public Works Department is seeking construction management agent services (CMA) for design review through construction delivery of exterior restoration improvements to the Historic Courthouse in Stillwater MN. Washington County (hereinafter referred to as the COUNTY) makes this Request for Proposals (hereinafter referred to as RFP) in order to obtain Proposals for CMA services (Hereinafter referred to as the CONSULTANT) that will be used to select a consultant for the Project. The Project is generally described in the "Scope of Services" contained within this RFP. The Washington County Historic Courthouse is one of the oldest standing courthouses in Minnesota and was listed on the national register of Historic places in 1971. The Courthouse is a two-story brick-faced masonry building. The original courthouse was built in 1870 with subsequent additions (jail and what now is the vault exhibit space built in 1900) and a ramp and stairs at the west side of the courthouse is of the more recent construction. Parts of the main exterior stairs and walks have also been rebuilt more recently. Washington county moved the judicial services out of the building in 1975, and since that time, the building has undergone various renovation projects. The courthouse is now part of the Washington County Parks Division. Washington County parks department has hired on an architect/engineering firm and is in design of exterior improvements to the courthouse. These improvements include but are not limited to, structural repairs, dome assembly, roofing, water management, masonry repairs, stone foundation repairs, Architectural metals and woodwork, windows. Construction March - November 2023* CMA Scope 1. Project budget analysis, development, estimating, and tracking 2. Agency coordination, permitting, and approvals 3. Preconstruction services 4. Value engineering, safety, sustainability, and quality standards review at 90% 5. Design review and schedule development at 90% 6. Project staging development and implementation 7. Bidding services including bid analysis and recommendation 8. Construction inspection and contract administration 9. Management and coordination of final startup, testing, and occupancy 10. Project close out and warranty |
