Description

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Division of Parks and Watercraft, plans to set up several campsites across several State Parks with hammock structures that will increase the utilization of the land while offering our camp guests a fun new adventurous way to camp. The design can use minimal supplies to add a fun, safe, Conserve Ohio friendly hammocking option to our amenities. As a featured example, Parks and Watercraft plans to set up a hammock structure for two hammocks at the camper village in the Natural Resources Park at the Ohio State Fair Grounds. The set-up will require three posts--14' apart. They need to be minimum 10' poles X 6" diameter. They need to be buried approximately 4' deep with 6' of pole above ground to attach hammock straps to the posts. Poles to be buried, limestone 57 grade needs to be used to fill in the hole around the pole and tamp the limestone into place. NOTE: ODNR will handle the installation. Specifications: Hammocks, Tree Straps and Carabiners as follows: o Two single hammocks measure at 9' long by 4.5' wide for one (1) person. Materials: Hammock should be machine washable parachute nylon with triple interlocking stitching. o Two heavy duty steel carabiners o Two Hammock Tree Friendly Straps (per hammock) 10' long (20' Total) x 1 Inch Wide (Tree Friendly), at least 5 separate loops (per tree strap) but ideally 16 + 1 attachment loop for adjustment, weight capacity needs to be 400-500+ lbs. Per Strap (1,000+ lbs. Total) with No-Stretch Heavy Duty Triple Stitched Seams. Round Poles: o Three 6" X 10' round turned posts, pressure treated with non-toxic treatment. Evaluation: The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the State. This PO is only valid for the goods and/or services received through June 30, 2024. 11. Any goods/services received after June 30, 2024 will require a new PO.
