Description | For Domestic Water Valve Replacement The deadline for questions has been established as October 18, 2022 at 11am, to assure that there is enough time to allow the A/E to provide responses and Addendum issuance if necessary. Please submit all questions to the Procurement Officer: James Alston -james.alston@maryland.gov and Supervisor Christine Stenhouse - christine.stenhouse1@maryland.gov. The Project Cost Classification for this solicitation is: Small Procurement Category III, under $100,000 Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this Solicitation Bid prices are irrevocable for a period of 120 days following bid opening. After opening bids, the Procurement Officer may request bidders to extend the time during which the State may accept their bids, provided that, with regard to bids, no other change is permitted. The following bonds are required if the Contract Amount, including Unit Prices, Allowances and Alternates as applicable, is in excess of $100,000.00 1) Bid Bond in the amount of 5% 2) Payment and Performance Bonds in the amount of 100% NOTE: Depending on the type/speed of your internet connection, and the size of the file(s), this download could take 20 to 30 minutes or more. NOTE: For the purposes of bidding, all Contract Documents used for bidding, must be printed in the size and resolution advertised. NOTE: The Procurement Officer will issue a Notice to all Bidders which can be found under the Forms and Attachments section of the Solicitation advising bidders that an addendum has been issued. Bid prices are irrevocable for a period of 120 days following bid opening. After opening bids, theALL forms required to be submitted prior to the deadline for receipt of bids must be received by the Department of General Services prior to the deadline for receipt of bids stated in this Solicitation Fact Sheet, or as may be amendedProcurement Officer may request bidders to extend the time during which the State may accept their bids, provided that, with regard to bids, no other change is permitted. The work shall be completed within 120 calendar days from the start date of the contract. If the work is not completed within the time period specified, the contractor will be liable for liquated damages of $250.00 per calendar day as specified in the General Conditions. Work consists of removing & replacing the existing Domestic Water Valves with new Domestic Water Valves to include replacing the existing OS&Y Gate Valves & associated components with new OS&Y Gate & Ball Valves and associated components of equal, or better capacity and performance characteristics to include pipe, reducers & fittings. Units are located in Diagnostic Center Building. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to verify the exact location of the units and the modifications necessary to fit properly in the available space for a fully functional system without any additional costs to the Owner. The work will also include providing or modifying existing pipe configuration in which to provide a base for the installation of the new OS&Y Gate Valves and Ball valves & modification of existing piping if necessary to accommodate new Valves. The proposed project shall include but is not limited to the following: Remove & Replace 12-3" Water Valves and associated components to include pipe, reducers & fittings. Remove & Replace 24-2 1/2" Water Valves and associated components to include pipe, reducers & fittings. Remove & Replace 24- 1 1/2 " Water Valves and associated components to include pipe, reducers & fittings. Disconnecting and reconnecting of all mechanical, electrical and control interfaces to include fused Disconnects to complete the task at hand if necessary. Removing the existing Water Valves and related components and properly dispose of debris off of State Property. Submitting of Shop Drawings of the new units and their components. Provide all hoisting, lifting, etc. necessary for the removal of the existing OS&Y & gate Valves & associated components and the installation of the new Water Valves & associated components in their designated areas. The Water Valves & associated components shall be connected into the existing supply Piping and drain systems if needed. Any modifications required to permit the installation of the equipment specified herein shall be the responsibility of the Contractor and will be included in the Base Bid. Work to include start-up inspection and a full acceptance test. Provide Demonstration and Training to the Maintenance staff.The Contractor is to relocate and /or reconfigure any building components as necessary, such as but not limited to, any plumbing, sprinkler piping, electrical, mechanical, ductwork, ceiling grid and tiles, or any other obstacles necessary for the installation of the new Water Valves and components. Water Service is to be restored and back in service at the end of work shift. Work is to include any repairs of floors, walls, ceilings, or any other surfaces effected by the installation of the new work back to their original condition if necessary. Code Compliance: IBC-2015, IMC-2015, NFPA-2012 and all other applicable codes and requirements of the local jurisdiction. Any modifications required to permit the installation of the equipment |
