Description

Plans call for slowing down traffic along most of Maple Avenue by eliminating some traffic lanes on the mostly five-lane road, put islands in the median for pedestrian safety, widen sidewalks, add benches and trees, and get businesses to connect their parking lots and parcels so cars and pedestrians can travel short distances without getting onto the main road. As of January 18 2023, this project is still in a design state as per source. An engineer has been selected. Information regarding a general contractor has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has yet to be established.
