Description

** Talk to Kiefer says project not yet awarded. ** For Tonkawa Tribe Infrastructure Improvement Water Project The Tonkawa Tribe of Oklahoma is soliciting for RFP from contractors interested in providing professional services for the Infrastructure Improvement Water Project ICDBG #B18SR403020. The Infrastructure Project will commence in approximately 4 separate housing areas in Fort Oakland area. Approximately 90 units will be serviced. The homes were built in the late 1970s early 1980s consisting of copper piping and various other materials used over the course of time. The Tribe will be following their own procurement policy which contains Native American Preference and aligns with the HUD policy. SOW: Install new service line from existing supply main (existing line size is between 2-6 inch) to inside of home and end at residential fixtures. IF the existing tap is not on the 90 or 270 degree mark, then old tap must be patched and a new one must be made on said marks. From the main supply to the meter riser/can then to the house on slab (single through slab bore with sleeve then to overhead PEX (or equivalent and insulated with no fittings located overhead) to hook up at existing fixtures. International Building Code will apply. Change orders for supply lines, hot water heaters and fixture valves when needed must be done ahead of time and approved. Conditions: 1.) Existing lines are copper and PVC/HDPE mix. 2.) Old taps into main must be located, removed and depending on location of tap plugged or reused using saddle style pressure plug or dresser style sleeve. If located on any other plane other than the 90/270 plane of pipe then that port shall be plugged. If located on side then can reused with a NON Ford style Corpstop (2-6 inch with a shutoff and 3/4 inch port). 3.) From main to meter will have tracer wire and be 3/4 inch PEX or equivalent. Fittings will be PEX equivalent or Expanded. 4.) At the Home Can, if no Can is present one will be installed. A new Meter Riser will also be installed along with existing meter. If no meter is present or current meter is inoperable then a bypass will be installed and noted. 5.) From Riser to home will be Tracer wired to the homes slab where a sleeve will pass through the Homes slab and 3/4 inch PEX (or Equivalent will be insulated and taken over head into the homes attic and drops will be made to each fixture in the house. No fittings shall be used overhead. 6.) A main shutoff will be located at the entry point of the house the Hot water closet and PEX or Equivalent runs will be manifold throughout the home. Each home will be Manifold depending on their blueprint so that lines will be consistent from site to site. 7.) Shutoffs/stops will be installed at the ends before the existing fixture is attached. 8.) Contractor is responsible for sheetrock repairs. The contractor will make decision and inform the Program Director if family needs to vacate home until re-piping is complete for that particular home.
