Purchase and Installation of Generators for JEA Lift Stations

Contractor(s) shall submit Engineered Drawings to JEA for approval. The self-contained emergency electric system shall consist of an electric generating unit, which upon interruption of normal power from transformer, will start automatically and, by an automatic transfer switch, will disconnect load from normal supply and connect load to emergency generator. Diesel engine driven electric generator set shall be of the latest commercial type and design with all necessary switchgear, and controls. Contractor shall furnish fuel tank, sound attenuated aluminum generator set enclosure, and all accessories necessary for a complete and operable installation. All materials shall be new unless specifically called for otherwise. The Bidder will provide firm fixed pricing on a per unit (generator) basis, for installations and start-ups to be completed by June 1, 2023, based on JEA providing a notice to proceed no later than September 1, 2022. The items priced will have liquidated damages for failure of timely completion, per the Liquidated Damages clause provided in Section 2.5.1. A complete scope of work and technical specification is attached in Appendix A of this Solicitation. All questions must be submitted in writing to the JEA Buyer listed below at least seven (7) business days prior to the opening date. Questions received within seven (7) business days prior to the opening date will not be answered. The bid security must be furnished by the Bidder at or before the opening of Bids. The bid security shall either be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Florida, or Bidder shall furnish a certified check or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid Amount shown on the Bid Form.
