| Description | The work of this project is concentrated around Reed Beds No. 7 through 12 at the wastewater treatment plant. The project generally consists of the removal of the sludge, filter media, and 6" of stone and legally disposing of this material at an off-site location. Reconstruct the beds with 6" of stone, 4" of pea gravel, and 6" of sand, as specified, to the elevations shown on the reference drawing. As an Alternate Bid item, provide and install 6" of glass beads in lieu of the top layer of sand. After the installation has been approved by the Owner and engineer, plant new reeds in the refurbished beds. |
