Description

This project consists of the installation of six (6) replacement water pumps at the 1801 Facility. The replacement pumps are Owner Furnished; a separate contract is in place for the delivery of the pumps to the SLAC Facility. The existing pumps are working beyond their service life and demand intensive maintenance. Their reliability is not adequate to keep on continuous service. The replacement work will be performed one-by-one as to keep 4 pumps online while keeping one pump as back up. All existing pumps are fitted with isolation valves so that the replacement work will not require downtime and can be performed independent of each other.
